The 2024 TLX will begin arriving at Acura dealers in Canada in late November featuring a streamlined trim structure with the standard A-Spec model’s sport appearance and premium features as well as the top-trim high-performance TLX Type S, which accounts for nearly 25% of all TLX sales.

“The newly enhanced TLX and TLX Type S have raised the bar as part of our Acura lineup that remains focused on our commitment to Precision Crafted Performance,” said James Marchand, Assistant Vice President Acura Canada. “The TLX sedan joins its performance-first stablemate the new Integra and Integra Type S, all are designed to deliver a premium and exhilarating driving experience.”

Styling Enhancements from Type S Concept Model
The TLX premium sport sedan’s performance intentions are conveyed through its low and wide stance, long dash-to-axle ratio, expansive hood, and a combination of sheer and angular surfaces and muscular curves.

The 2024 TLX A-Spec model features a new, more sophisticated front fascia with a frameless version of Acura's Diamond Pentagon grille first seen on the Acura Type S Concept. The sleek new design is framed by four Jewel Eye® LED headlight elements and "Chicane" LED daytime running lights.

TLX A-Spec receives new dual spoke 19-inch Shark Grey wheels, as well as large, dual round exhaust finishers and a new gloss-black rear spoiler, in addition to its blacked-out exterior treatment and A-Spec badges. With standard torque vectoring Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™, the TLX A-Spec is for buyers who desire enhanced performance and a sporty appearance.

The styling of the more powerful TLX Type S is also outfitted with the unique open-surface Diamond Pentagon grille mesh, which provides airflow to its exclusive Type S Turbo V6 engine. The standard 20” Y-spoke Shark Grey wheels return for 2024 wrapped in high-performance Pirelli P Zero summer tires. A bronze finish 20” Y-spoke wheel option is also available as an Acura Genuine Accessory.

TLX Type S visually builds upon the appearance of the TLX with even more aggression and purpose. Distinct from any angle, the performance variant features an exclusive front splitter, rear decklid spoiler, rear diffuser, large quad exhaust outlets and red Brembo® 4-piston front brake calipers.

The 2024 TLX adds two exciting new paint colours: Urban Grey Pearl available on the TLX A-SPEC and Type S, and Liquid Carbon Metallic, which debuted on MDX, is available on the TLX A-SPEC.

More Standard Tech
Inside, more advanced tech has been smartly integrated to enhance TLX’s cabin experience. All 2024 TLX models now feature a 12.3-inch center screen—20% larger than before—and wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility. Two USB-C charging ports also have been added to the rear of the center console.

A new configurable 12.3-inch Acura Precision Cockpit™ Driver Information Cluster features clean, easy-to-read graphics and an extensive selection of displays. The design features large round dials and gear-position display, plus a multi-information display that includes user-selectable functions such as AcuraWatch™ settings, vehicle information and more.

In the 2024 TLX Type S, the new 12.3-inch Acura Precision Cockpit™ Driver Information Interface also features a new Sport+ driving mode-exclusive meter design that allows the driver to obtain necessary information instantly, with the engine rpm placed at the top. In this configuration, the system also displays turbocharger boost in pounds per square inch (psi) and includes a graphical g-meter that provides a representation of acceleration, braking and cornering forces.

Takes Driving Experience to a New Level
For an even more premium experience, the 2024 Acura TLX A-Spec receives extensive updates to reduce road noise in the cabin, including thicker carpet, new front fender liners, wheel insulators, B pillar and door insulators. To further reduce wind noise, the front doors feature acoustic glass. In addition, the Active Sound Control (ASC) system has been enhanced to further cancel exterior sounds from polluting the interior ambiance.

At the heart of the TLX Type S is the Type S Turbo V6, a 24-valve, dual overhead cam 3.0-litre engine with direct-injection and a single twin-scroll turbocharger, producing 355 horsepower and 354 lb.-ft. of torque (SAE Net). Exclusive to Type S models, the engine was developed by some of the company’s most experienced powertrain engineers, including members of championship winning motorsports programs. Acura engineers retuned the 2024 TLX Type S’ Sport+ mode to deliver quicker throttle response.

The best performing all-wheel drive Acura sedan ever, TLX Type S also features a sport-tuned 10-speed automatic transmission, double-wishbone front suspension, Brembo® front brakes and Type S exclusive Sport+ driving mode. Power is distributed through Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ system with true torque vectoring. The rear-biased system is capable of sending up to 70% of torque to the rear axle, and 100% of that to the outside rear wheel.

Enhanced Safety & Driver Assistive Features
The Acura TLX sets the benchmark for both active and passive safety performance in the premium sedan class with Acura’s ACE™ body structure, next-generation front passenger airbag technology and the AcuraWatch™ suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies – all standard.

For 2024, TLX adds enhanced safety performance with expanded functions of the AcuraWatch™ suite of safety and driver assistive technologies with a new front single-lens sensor camera with a wider 90-degree field of view (up from 50-degrees) and a new grille mounted millimeter-wave radar with a wider 120-degree field of view (up from 50-degrees). The significantly widened detection angles improve collision prevention performance via improved ability to recognize attributes of objects, such as vehicles, bicycles or pedestrians, as well as white lines and road boundaries like curbs and road signs.

In the rear, the Blind Spot Information (BSI) system radars’ warning range increased to 25 metres of radar range to recognize vehicles approaching from a greater distance.

Also standard on TLX for 2024 is a new rear seatbelt reminder system, which uses visual and audible cues to notify the driver if rear seat occupants have buckled their seatbelts.

On TLX, the AcuraWatch™ suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies includes Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS®) with Pedestrian Detection, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Forward Collision Warning, Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) incorporating Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) and the Traffic Sign Recognition System.

Made in North America
The 2024 TLX and TLX Type S are built in Marysville, Ohio, on the same production line as the Acura Integra and Integra Type S*. TLX engines are made exclusively at the Anna Engine Plant in Ohio, which also produces the Type S Turbo V6 for the MDX Type S.
* using domestic and globally-sourced parts
